2015
Founding
Community Huddle is founded on
September 27, 2015 by Rev. Byron Marshall, Jr.
Later that year, Community Huddle's Board is established, which comprised 3 founding board members: Rev. Byron Marshall, Jr., who served as Interim founding Board Chair, and is also Community Huddle's Executive Director and Founder; Pauline Grant-Jones, CPA, who served dual roles as both founding Board Vice-Chair and founding Board Treasurer; and Ethel Parnell, who served as founding Board Secretary.
2016
Opens First Office
Community Huddle celebrates its 1 year anniversary.
Community Huddle opens its first office located at: 2201 North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Milwaukee, WI.
2017
1st Annual Peace March
Community Huddle celebrates its 2 year anniversary.
Community Huddle hosts its '1st Annual No Violence Know Peace March' on April 20th, 2017 at Carmen Middle/High School North Campus where over 300 students, residents, and elected officials participated, as our founder, Rev. Byron Marshall, led the peace march.
2018
Outreach Program
Community Huddle celebrates its 3 year anniversary.
Community Huddle establishes its 'B. Marshall Scholar' program in hopes of providing outreach to students and youth.
2019
Back to School Program
Community Huddle celebrates its 4 year anniversary.
Community Huddle establishes its Annual Back to School Backpack & Supplies Giveaway Event.
2020
Five Year Milestone
Community Huddle celebrates its 5 year anniversary, and receives a Mayoral Proclamation for its community outreach and service.
Community Huddle moves to new office location and current National Office Headquarters located at: 2745 North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Milwaukee, WI.
2023
National Outreach
Community Huddle celebrates its 8 year anniversary.
Community Huddle expands regionally and nationally with its 'B. Marshall Scholar' Outreach Program, 'Nonpartisan Voter & Civic Awareness' outreach, and its 'Renewing Minds' Jail Outreach Ministry program, yet maintains its local accessibility.
Community Huddle expands its 'B. Marshall Scholar' program and operates at 10 schools in 5 different school districts around the country that combined serves over 430,000 students.
Community Huddle establishes its 'Renewing Minds' Jail Outreach Ministry to reduce recidivism and increase civic virtue.
Community Huddle also establishes its Bernetta J. Walker Holiday Food Outreach program, and its Elder Oscar Johnson Homeless Outreach program.
2025
Ten Year Milestone
Community Huddle celebrates its 10 year anniversary.
